Oreo has always been about bringing people together — and in Indonesia, that spirit of unity shines through traditions like Batik. To celebrate this, Oreo decided to give Batik a playful twist of its own. For National Batik Day 2024, we helped create the Limited Edition Oreo Batik pack — a fun and meaningful tribute to a true Indonesian icon.
Each flavour took on a local identity: Batik Mega Mendung from Cirebon (Original), Songket from Palembang (Strawberry), Tenun Sengkang from Makassar (Blueberry), and Tenun Endek from Bali (Chocolate).
Inspired by Oreo’s playful spirit, we reimagined these iconic Batik patterns through a bold, modern lens — blending vibrant colours and contemporary flair while keeping their timeless character intact.
More than just a pretty pack, this project celebrates local craftsmanship and the communities who keep these traditions alive. It’s a reminder that design isn’t just about how things look — it’s about stories, pride, and connection.




Oreo brought the Batik story to life beyond the pack — weaving the patterns into social posts, on-ground events, and fun merchandise to create a vibrant, culture-inspired brand experience. As part of the celebration, Oreo also invited fans to join in the creativity with a Batik design contest. Consumers got to put their own spin on traditional patterns and share their designs as part of the campaign story.
